PPGI SPECIAL STUDENT NOTICE No. 01/2024

1. REGISTRATION

 

1.1 Registration for special students in the Postgraduate Program in Informatics at the University of Brasília (PPGI) will only be carried out via the Internet, by filling in data and sending files in the online registration system available at: http://inscricaoposgraduacao. unb.br.
1.2 The form will be available at the address specified in item 1.1. from 00:00 (zero hours) on 02/06/2024, and will be blocked at 23:59 on 03/05/2024.
1.3 The Registration Fee is R$ 79.00 (seventy-one reais) and the Registration Fee is R$ 113.00 (one hundred and one reais) per credit (see Annex II).
1.4. Undergraduate and postgraduate students regularly enrolled at the University of Brasília will not be able to compete. If you wish to study

2. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR REGISTRATION

 

2.1 To complete the online application form, the candidate must send the documents below in PDF format with a maximum size of 2 Mb each file. If there is information on the back of a document, the candidate must send the front and back of that document in a single PDF file.
2.2 Candidates must attach the following documents:
2.2.1 Updated Curriculum Vitae or Lattes;
2.2.2 Higher Education Diploma;
2.2.3 Higher Education Academic Record;
2.2.4 Identity card or passport;
2.2.5 CPF;
2.2.6 Voter ID with proof of the last vote (1st and 2nd rounds) or declaration of electoral discharge;
2.2.7 Proof of Reservist (male candidate) and
2.2.8 Proof of payment of the Registration Fee in the amount of R$79.00.
2.3 The candidate is responsible for sending complete, legible and correctly positioned documents. Documents that are illegible, inverted, cut or have a scanning error will be disregarded.
2.4 The authenticity of the documents sent for registration and enrollment is the responsibility of the candidate, who may be asked to present the original documents.
2.5 The Postgraduate Program in Informatics is not responsible for registration requests not received due to technical reasons for computers, communication failures, congestion on communication lines, as well as other factors that make data transfer impossible.

 

3. REGISTRATION AND REGISTRATION FEES


3.1 The Registration Fee in the amount of R$ 79.00 must be paid by 03/05/2023 and proof of payment must be MANDATORY attached to the registration process, together with the documents described in item 2.
3.2 The Registration Fee in the amount of R$ 113.00 per credit to be taken must only be paid by candidates after the Preliminary Result has been announced, according to the schedule described in item 5.

3.2.1 The Registration Fee must be paid by 03/15/2024.
3.2.2 Proof of the Registration Fee must be attached to the process in the online registration system available at http://inscricaoposgraduacao.unb.br and submitted by 11:59 pm on 03/15/2024.
3.3 Only proof of payment will be accepted. Receipts issued by deposit in an envelope or proof of appointment (in case of payment via GRU bank slip) will not be accepted.
3.4 The candidate must check all the information in this notice and the Union Collection Guide BEFORE paying fees, as there will be NO refund of payment of registration and registration fees.
3.5 Active employees of the Fundação Universidade de Brasília are exempt from paying the Registration Fee and Enrollment Fee. Instead, proof of employment must be attached (employment badge, pay slip, etc.).

 

4. SELECTION PROCESS

 

4.1 The selection process for PPGI Special Student will consist of Curricular Assessment.

6. FINAL GUIDELINES


6.1 We advise candidates to only enroll in the subjects they want and can take. The special student does not withdraw from the subject, and his/her withdrawal will result in the burden of failure due to abandonment (SR - No Performance – above 25% of absences).
6.1.1 In case of withdrawal or failure, there will be no refund of the amounts paid.
6.1.2 The available vacancies per discipline that appear at the time of registration are merely indicative, and PPGI may accept more or fewer candidates.
6.2 Applications from special students will not be accepted in the Individual Work and Teaching Internship subjects.
6.2 Enrollment as a special student does not create any link with the Postgraduate Programs at the University of Brasília.
6.3 Special students will not be linked to regular courses, therefore they will not be entitled to a student ID or any of the following benefits: accommodation, any type of scholarship and any form of subsidy for using the University restaurant.
6.4 When registering, the candidate automatically accepts the conditions established in this Notice, committing to meet the requirements
of each stage of the process.
6.5 The candidate may request but NOT be able to take the Topics in Computer Systems classes together.
6.5 Any omitted questions will be dealt with by the PPGI Coordination.

 

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAYING REGISTRATION AND REGISTRATION FEE

 

To pay registration and registration fees, candidates must OBLIGATORY issue the Union Collection Slip (GRU), as per the instructions below:

1. Access https://consulta.tesouro.fazenda.gov.br/gru/gru_simples.asp

2. Fill in:

  • Management Unit: 154040
  • Management: 15257 - University of Brasília Foundation
  • Collection Code: 28838-1 - Studies and Research Services

3. When you click next, payment options will be shown (PIX, bank slip and credit card).

  • Reference Number: 4405
  • Taxpayer's CNPJ or CPF: inform the CANDIDATE'S CPF
  • Taxpayer Name: enter the CANDIDATE’S NAME
  • Main value: Total tuition fee, considering that 1 credit is R$ 113.00. For example: a 4-credit subject (60 hours) will cost R$452.00.
  • Total Value: Total tuition value, considering that 1 credit is R$113.00.

4. Click on Issue GRU.

>> Proofs will not be accepted without including the candidate's Reference Number 4405 or CPF. The remaining fields can be left
in blank.

>> In case of payment via Boleto, payment must be made by Banco do Brasil.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


> Will I receive any document proving that I took these subjects?
Yes. At the end of the semester, interested parties can request a Special Student Declaration. This document will contain the subjects taken, the academic period and the mention, including the subjects that were failed.

 

> If you enroll in a postgraduate program, is it possible to take advantage of them?
It is possible within the scope of the PPGI, as long as the subject was studied less than ten years ago. In the context of other PPGs, it is necessary to consult the internal rules.

 

> Can I take two subjects with a clash of schedules?

No. Even if selected in subjects with a schedule clash, the student must choose one to study.

 

> Are there limitations on the number of subjects requested or to be taken?
As a rule, there is none, the student can request all of them and take as many courses as they want, as long as they are approved. However, he must observe the previous point.
