The 20th edition of the Symposium was held from May 20 to 23, 2024 at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora in Minas Gerais. In the Undergraduate Coursework Competition in Information Systems - CTCCSI, the first and second places went to students from CIC and PPGI, who were supervised by professors from PPGI.

1st place - Computational Strategies based on Text Similarity and Exploratory Visualization for Identifying Inconsistencies in Electronic Invoices - Mayara Marinho (CIC student), Prof. Vinicius Ruela Pereia Borges and Prof. Li Weigang

2nd place - An Anonymization Library for Rapid and Diverse Anonymization of Brazilian Personal Data - Stefano Luppi Sposito e Raylan da Silva Sales (CIC student), Geovana Silva (PPGI student) and Prof. Edna Canedo

Also presented was a paper by master's student Lucas Correa Lemos, supervised by Prof. Celia Ghedini Ralha, with the results of an exploratory study using data from 20 years of the SBSI event, entitled: "A Temporal Network Visualization and Data Analysis on Two Decades of SBSI".
