With undergraduate and graduate students, it uses artificial intelligence (AI) to detect outbreaks of fire in the Cerrado. In partnership with the DF Fire Department (CBDF) and the GigaCandanga network, the project uses real-time images and applies AI techniques to identify fires which, if detected, are automatically notified to the CBDF, speeding up its response.
